A BRIEF HISTORY 

Founded in 1980, Bailey's Karate, Rome is celebrating over 30 years of the finest in Martial Arts instruction. 
The school was co-founded by Sensei Vicki Gillen, who has achieved rank of 7th Degree Black Belt, certified by the Zen-Do-Kai International Martial Arts International Organization. Sensei Vicki is still active as Master Instructor at the school.

MARTIAL ARTS STYLES

Bailey's Karate School in Rome teaches American Karate, a hybrid of traditional arts that have been combined into a more comprehensive style.  Basic kicks and kata (forms)  from Korean Tae-Kwon-do and strikes from Japanese Shotokan form the nucleus of instruction. American kickboxing and other styles, including the Blauer S.P.E.A.R. self defense system.

SCHOOL RULES 

To enjoy your training in complete safety and be most productive, we ask our students to follow a few simple rules:
1. Be on time for all classes. If you are going to be late, or miss a class, please call to let us know.
2. Be sure that your uniform is clean and pressed.
3. Do not misuse your ability.
4. Always be willing to help others in your school and community.
5. To assure that your training in the martial arts is safe and proper, you may not train with anyone outside the school, or enter any martial arts event without the permission of Sensei Vicki.
